Today’s libraries are asked to serve wide-ranging, often stressed, and increasingly vulnerable communities with creativity, care, and skill. Yet limited capacity and intense public and stakeholder scrutiny can have a chilling effect on programming.
We know libraries already provide dynamic, meaningful programs for their communities. ExD: Embolden by Design provides library staff with compassionate structure and support to build confidence and skills, so they feel safe, prepared and excited to take smart risks during complex times in their community programming.
WHAT IS ExD?
ExD is an immersive training experience that gives library staff the tools and support they need to deliver bold programs that build empathy, challenge stereotypes, encourage active listening, and champion diverse perspectives.

WHO IS ExD for?
ExD is designed for trailblazers from small- to mid-sized libraries willing to take smart risks and invest in themselves to gain new confidence to serve diverse audiences, in creative ways, with less fear or hesitancy.
